The Ramayana is an Indian epic that's very well known all over Southeast Asia. This is an excerpt from the scene where Shinta was captivated by seeing a golden deer (a demon in disguise) and pleaded Rama to capture it for her. This dance is from Central Java and belongs to the Wayang Wong genre.
